The Spinazzola Gala originated over thirty years ago as a celebration of high end food & wines, prepared by some of the best chefs in the country to raise money to feed those in need.

The first Spinazzola Festival of Food & Wine was held in 1986 in memory of Anthony Spinazzola, much-loved food critic and editor for the Boston Globe. The event grew into a premier annual celebration that attracted chefs and vintners from across the globe and thousands of guests. The proceeds supported hunger and homelessness relief and an Apprenticeship Program, which provided much-needed culinary scholarship to aspiring chefs. 

Today, our Spinazzola Foundation aims to give back through our decades long tradition of hosting world class culinary events in Boston.
